The 2014 College of Excellence took place this past weekend in Atlanta, Georgia. This year, Chi Phi partnered with the North-American Interfraternity Conference to bring members a unique experience. The College of Excellence (or “COE” as it is commonly referred to) was built off the Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute, which offers a five-day program to bring together Chi Phi men from across the country to explore, define, and enhance their leadership skills, personal awareness, commitment to their Chapter, and grow to expect values-based action from themselves and those they lead. During COE, Brothers are given the resources to improve their leadership abilities and positively affect their Chapter.
During COE, Brothers experienced hands-on interaction, experiential activities, discussion time, and personal reflection time. Each participant had the opportunity to develop his own unique personal plan of action and was challenged to make a commitment to leading positive changes within their Chapter.
COE was open to any undergraduate member who currently holds an executive committee position and plans on holding the position for an additional term as well as any current members who hold an active chair position or have aspirations to hold a leadership position within their Chapter.
It was an amazing weekend, and all of the Brothers who participated are to be congratulated on completing the course and graduating as better men and leaders!
